Name
The name of this organization shall
be: The James Millen Society, here
to referred to as the Society.

2.0
|
Purpose
The purpose of The James Millen
Society shall be to provide an
identity for the purpose of
promoting the use, restoration and
preservation of radio communications
equipment which exhibit design or
construction influences attributable
to Mr. James Millen and recognize
the achievements he has made in
progressing the state of the art of
amateur radio.

Membership
Membership shall be open to any
person who actively supports the
Societies purpose as set forth in
item 2.0 of this document.
Membership is through sponsored
nomination by an existing member, in
good standing, of the Society.

4.0
|
Officers
The James Millen Society shall
have two officers, a President and a
Trustee. The President shall have
authority as outlined in the current
edition of the Roberts Rules of
Order, except where limited or
enhanced through this Document of
Organization. The position of
president if permanently vacated
shall be filled through a nomination
and vote of the membership. The
Trustee shall establish and maintain
an Amateur Radio Club Station for
the exclusive use of the licensed
members of the Society, and shall
carry out the duties designated by
the Federal Communication Commission
for the trustee of this station. In
the event that the trustee can no
longer perform the duties of
Trustee, he shall designate another
Society member who holds an amateur
license to apply to the FCC to
succeed him as trustee. The
president shall concur in the
selection of this new Trustee.

Dues
The James Millen Society shall not
collect dues.
|
6.0
|
Meetings
All meetings of The James Millen
Society shall be informal and may be
called at the discretion of at least
two members of the Society. Such
meetings may take place, in person,
over amateur radio or through other
electronic communication means.

|
Use of Club
Station
Any member wishing to use the
Societies amateur radio station for
transmitting purposes must satisfy
the trustee as to their authority to
do so by presenting a copy of their
amateur radio license. Both the
president and trustee must approve
requests to utilize the station's
callsign for special operating
events. A copy of the station log
with operators signatures must be
submitted to the Trustee for filing
after an approved special operating
event is concluded.

Meeting minutes of The James Millen
Society are maintained by the
President at his discretion.
